Property, setting and location:
Just 5 miles south of the old fishing port of Whitby, past Ness Point, Robin Hoods Bay is a picturesque little seaside village at the margins of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Devon House is a flower covered Victorian house, providing modern, clean and comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation.

Here, you are right on the path of the Cleveland Way Coastal Walk, which is southwards to Scarborough, 15 miles away, and at one end of the celebrated "coast to coast" walk from St Bees on England's west coast. Other local attractions include the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, which starts in Esk Dale (8 miles) and takes you through spectacular hill country to the old town of Pickering. The Moors are one of Britain's great wildernesses, heaven for country walking and pony trekking.

Guest rooms, facilities and the garden:
The 4 guest bedrooms, 2 doubles, 1 twin bedded room and 1 triple  with double and single beds are comfortably appointed - all have en-suite shower and toilet, colour TV, hairdryer and hot drinks facilities. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels are changed daily.

An additional single bed can be provided on request.

In summer, you are invited to relax in the flower filled garden and enjoy the wonderful views of the coast and countryside.

The house is centrally heated  and double glazed throughout - a cosy atmosphere in all seasons.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Meals and other facilities:
Full cooked English breakfast is served in the dining room.
Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.
Picnic lunch can be provided for approxiamtely 3.50 GBP per head.
Dinner is not served in house but there are pubs and restaurants in the locality with menus and prices to suite all tastes and preferences.

Limited private parking off road or park in public car park.
