Property, setting and location:
Heddington Manor is an early Georgian house situated on the edge of the village of the same name in rural Wiltshire just to the south of the Cotswold Hills. Enjoying unspoiled views towards Roundway Down where one of the early Civil War battles was fought in 1643, the house lies in 2.5 acres of gardens with a grass tennis court and a stable yard where chickens roam free. There are country walks and cycle rides which commence from the garden gate - Wansdyke and the Ridgeway are close by , local riding and a Championship Golf course at 2.5 miles away.
The historic cities of Bath and Salisbury are within easy reach, also the Cotswolds and Stonehenge. The stately home of Bowood is 2.5 miles distant and places of historic and pre-historic interest abound in the neighbourhood including Avebury, Lacock (Abbey), Castle Coombe, Bradford-on-Avon, Malmesbury and Tetbury.
Heddington Manor offers the opportunity to stay as a private guest in the comfortable elegance and relaxed atmosphere of a family house. Your hosts like you to feel that this is something special. So their philosophy is individuality rather than conformity, which reflects the personality and tastes of the owners.
