Property, setting and location:
Green Gates was established in 1925, offering quality bed and breakfast accommodation. Situated within the village of Bamburgh, only 100 metres from the castle.

Bamburgh is a wonderful setting for a memorable holiday,
whether you are looking for quiet walks, wildlife, sport or family outings to the beach, they are all available.

There is, of course, the magnificent castle and the Grace Darling Museum. For sporting facilities, the 18- hole golf course is challenging and offers spectacular views of  the Farne Islands and Holy Island. There is an all-weather tennis court, children's play area and miles of sandy Blue Flag beaches.

The village also has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, offering something for most tastes and pockets.

Your hostess, Claire and her daughter work hard to make your stay a really enjoyable one - they are a mine of local knowledge, so ask if you need help with your exploration plans.
 

Guest rooms, facilities and the garden:There are three large, comfortable and clean guest rooms in pastel shades, a double and 2 twins (each with 2 single beds), each with en-suite power shower or private facilities. All also have coffee/tea making facilities.

There is a large residents' lounge with a log fire and colour television, which looks onto the cricket green and castle.

Meals and other facilities:
Breakfasts are a speciality, serving local home-cured bacon and award winning sausages, also local free range eggs. Vegetarian guests are catered for with prior notice. Everyone is assured of a superb start to the day!

Dinner is not served in-house, however, there are several local restaurants and pubs.

Children of all ages and well behaved dogs are welcomed.
No smoking permitted in the house.
