Property, setting and location:
Y Bwthyn, a stone and slate cottage of great character, boasting a wealth of old pine ceilings and exposed oak beams, has been tastefully and gradually converted over recent years from a pair of former slate miners' cottages into comfortable guest accommodation.

Situated within the southern boundaries of Snowdonia National Park and at the heart of the popular residential village of Pennal, Y Bwthyn lies amidst magnificent scenery in the beautiful lower Dyfi (Dovey) Valley with superb mountain views in all directions. Within easy reach of the picturesque village of Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) and the historic market town of Machynlleth, the village has a warm, friendly hotel (100yds.) with an excellent menu and ales, as well as a shop and post office.

Guest rooms, facilities and the garden:
1 Double and 1 Twin/single, sharing adjacent shower, bath and w.c.. The dining room, bathroom and bedrooms have superb old pine ceilings and the guest lounge has exposed oak beams and TV. The house is centrally heated throughout.

The well laid out garden faces due south and catches the maximum amount of sunshine throughout the day, with all the usual garden furniture provided for your relaxation.
 

Meals and other facilities:
A choice of full Welsh, Continental or Vegetarian breakfasts is offered, and good quality evening meals can be provided by prior arrangement - approximate price 10.00 GBP ($16) per head. Alternatively, evening meals can be taken at The Riverside Hotel (100yards).

All tea and coffee is provided free of charge throughout the day.
Picnic lunches can be provided for 3.00 GBP ($5) per head.

A complete hillwalking and mountain guiding service can be provided on request - your hosts will advise you of excellent local routes, which you can explore by yourselves or a professional guide can be provided if you'd rather - to enable you to benefit from their thorough and extensive local knowledge.

Your hosts can collect you from Machynlleth Station if you choose to travel by train.
