Anchrage HouseProperty, setting and location:
Steve and Jane (he’s a Texan, she’s English) have lived both in the United Staes and England before settling in Cornwall where they bought Anchorage House as a shell of an impressive home in 1992 and have spent the last eight years finishing it off in grand Georgian style. Furnished throughout in antiques, Anchorage House has the advantage of having an old/traditional feel accompanied by all the luxurious modern conveniences expected of a top-rated 5 Diamond guest house, which has been extensively featured in a national house and garden magazine. Guests can relax in any of three guest lounge areas, the beautiful well-manicured garden, or on the patio by the heated lap pool and Jacuzzi.

Anchorage House's location on a lane just off the A390 makes it ideal for guests wanting to avoid navigating narrow Cornish roads to reach their accommodation. It’s also a perfect base from which to explore all the wonders of Cornwall since nearly any part can be reached in about an hour. Only five minutes from the wonderful white sands of Carlyon Bay beach and golf course, Charlestown’s tall ship harbour and the Eden Garden Project; and 15 minutes from five other golf courses, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House and Garden (NT), Fowey and Mevagissey fishing harbours.
