Property, setting and location:
In 1639 Sir John Arundell, squire of the nearby Trerice Manor, built a water-mill at Trewerry to grind corn for his estate. Milling continued for over 300 years but now, just the waterwheel remains, and two mill-stones serve as garden tables. The historic buildings are listed Grade II.In a tranquil position in North Cornwall and set in seven acres of tranquil countryside by the River Gannel, Trewerry Mill offers a peaceful base from which to explore Cornwall. Most places of interest are within 45 minutes drive. The dramatic north coast just 4 miles; the gardens and sheltered rivers of the South coast, both areas offer good walks and sandy beaches; the Elizabethan Trerice Manor, now owned by the National Trust and open to the public; the interesting city of Truro is 20 minutes and the world-class Eden Project is just 25 minutes by car.
Dave and Terri Clark look forward to welcoming you to Trewerry Mill - recommended in "Staying off the Beaten Track" and in the Consumer Association's "Which Guide to Good Bed & Breakfasts".
